Biographical Note

Catherine MacPhail is an award-winning, highly-acclaimed writer of gritty, urban stories which tackle contemporary issues. Many of her books are based on real-life experiences. She has written a number of titles for Barrington Stoke, including Hide and Seek. She has three children, and lives in Greenock.

Omar's family had to fight to survive in their own country. Now they have come to the UK and at last they have a safe place to live.
