Installation instructions:

1 Tighten the dust boot under the shift handle in order to disconnect the shift handle from the shift handle.

2 Turn the knob counterclockwise to remove the knob. Some models require a cotter pin handle shift lever nut.

3 Remove the knob and nut from the shift lever

4 Use a wide angle plastic lever tool to lever up between the adjuster and the centre console.

5 Remove the plastic assembly around the shift lever.

6 disconnect any electrical connectors connected to the shift lever housing and lift the shift lever.

7 Turn the shift boot inward, cut the black fastener and remove the starter retainer from the shift lever.

8 Install a new starter retainer from the outside of the shift lever housing.

9 Fix it in place with O-rings and screws provided.

10 Reinstall the shift starter, adjustment and knob. Check the work.
