This mini oled is design for raspberry pi computers, to give you a small display.
The pioled comes with a monochrome 128x64 oled, with white pixels. The oled only uses the i2c pins so you have many gpio connections available for buttons, leds, sensors, etc. it's also nice and compact so it will fit in any case.
These displays are small, only about 1” diagonal, but very readable due to the high contrast of an oled display. This screen is made up of 128x64 individual white oled pixels and because the screen makes its own light, no backlight is needed. This reduces the energy needed to run the oled and that's why the screen has such a high contrast, we really like this miniature display for its crispness!
Using the canvas is very easy, we have a python library for the ssd1306 chipset. Our sample code allows you to draw images, text, whatever you want, using the python image library. Our tests showed 30fps refresh rates so you can make simple animations or video.
It comes completely pre-assembled and tested so you don't have to do anything but plug it in and install our python code! Works with for the raspberry pi computer, including the original pi 1, b+, pi 2, pi 3, and pi zero.
