Working principle:
Incremental encoder is a rotating sensor that converts rotational displacement into a series of digital pulse signals. These pulses are used to control angular displacement. In Eltra encoder, the principle of photoelectric scanning is used to convert the angular displacement. The reading system is based on the rotation of the radial indexing disc (code disc) consisting of alternating light transmission windows and non-light transmission windows. At the same time, it is illuminated vertically by an infrared light source, and the image of the code disc is projected onto the receiver surface by light. The receiver is covered with a diffraction grating, which has the same window width as the code disk. The work of the receiver is to sense the changes caused by the rotation of the optical disk, and then convert the light changes into corresponding electrical changes. Then the low level signal is raised to a higher level, and the square pulse without any interference is generated, which must be processed by electronic circuit. In order to improve the quality and stability of the output signal, the reading system usually adopts the differential method, which compares two different signals with the same waveform but with a phase difference of 180 degrees. The reading is based on the difference between the other two signals, thus eliminating interference.
