About sealant rubber sealant:
Rubber sealant is a black, non-drying, synthetic rubber sealant with unhardened synthetic rubber base for use as a sealant sealing tape for sealing re-sealers after an adaptation or for installation between the glass and metal zones / automotive headlamps / windshields. It will remain permanently sealed and waterproofed.
Application:
1. After removing the headlight cover or windshield, the pinch welding areas should be dry, clean, free of dust, oil and grease. Release the release paper sealant and press enough around the weld for full contact.
2. When placed correctly, the tape must be continuously attached to the pinch weld before sealing it with the other part of the coupling. The purpose of the sealant is to provide a watertight seal. In cold weather conditions it is better to heat the tape before attempting the installation, as this will soften the tape that allows a better working capacity.
