Intended primarily for data storage centers the SAS interface is backwards compatible with SATA.This allows the user to mix more expensive lower-capacity SAS drives for applications that require faster data access and higher reliability with lower-cost higher-capacity SATA drives for applications with lower access speed requirements.
It has an external 26-pin SFF-8088 male Mini-SAS plug (with release ring) on Both ends.
The SFF-8088 interface is mainly used on the MINI SAS 4X array card as an external MINI SAS connection line and supports 6Gbps bandwidth.
SAS adopts SATA compatible cables and adopts point-to-point connection, which can easily realize cable installation.
This line supports SAS/SATA III standard 6Gbit, suitable for good end users who pay attention to data security.
